Mylivn — NFTs

Now that I have mentioned the role of NFTs in the traditional art scene in the previous article, let me go into greater detail about the role it will play in the mylivn network and social media in general.

So far, many generic social networks have not paid attention to it, as evidenced by the fact that there are no integrated NFT solutions in traditional social networks. Currently, there are very few social networks in which creators can create, upload, and sell digital assets.

Mylivn is in a unique position to monetise creator content by creating and exchanging NFTs — this is a huge opportunity.

As discussed in a previous article, our PRO users have several opportunities to monetize their content and make a livng.

Let me give you a brief example of what our PRO partner will expect from us and our monetization programs, which includes trading NFTs. A PRO user can earn on mylivn network:

  • by creating and selling NFT’s
  • by receiving donations and subscriptions
  • by selling their own merchandise
  • by giving access to premium accounts or content
  • by using partner links with payment per click or per action

Our next article will cover how we want to enable our creators to create and trade NFTs — stay tuned.

I will illustrate the waves that NFTs can make with a small example — and we are not talking about Beeple, Grimes or Bored Apes here.

100 jingles made in Germany and NFTs

In a small town in Niedersachsen, Germany, a place with fewer than 300 residents, there is a farm that has been in the hands of a very special German since 2016. It’s Fynn Kliemann and his project Kliemannsland that we’re talking about here. Imagine if there was a country where weirdos were still allowed to be crazy, where visionaries were heard, dreamers live their dreams and share them with others. A huge adventure playground for web designers, musicians, video producers, designers, craftsmen, programmers, and much more, has been created and anyone and everyone can explore and live out their creativity — follow dreams and passions.

What is the point of telling you all this? Fynn Kliemann does it all. Additionally, he released 100 limited jingles, NFTs, on the Ethereum blockchain and auction them off in March 2021. The artist and all-rounder raised 250,000 euros with his jingles after the auction ended.

When asked what potential Kliemann sees in NFT’s, he replies:

“I think the real application in the financial sector is yet to come. There are so many processes that people are much less suited to carry out than clearly defined contracts. We need lightweight currencies without fees to replace bribed braidable and centrally administered monetary policy. This is cool for art and brings important tools like true-ownership of digital products.”

But what exactly are these NFTs anyway?

Now that we have seen an example of what is possible in the world of NFTs — what are NFTs anyway? What are we talking about all the time?

NFTs are basically digital ownership certificate stored in a blockchain, i.e. a tamper-proof list of records such as Ethereum or Bitcoin. When someone buys a digital artwork, it is recorded on the blockchain that the art now belongs to another person. The work usually remains visible to everyone on the network, and can still be downloaded, sent or copied. An NFT simply proves who “now owns” the art.

NFTs can be anything. A jingle, as in the case of Fynn Kliemann, an entire music album, as in the case of Kings of Leon a photo, a GIF, virtual fashion or other digitally created content. There can be either a single NFT of this digital content, which can then be auctioned off for incredible sums of money, or there can be 100 copies of the same NFT — which behave more like trading cards and are traded among buyers as such traded like this

Ownership, NFTs and mylivn

It is obvious that when it comes to NFTs and social media, proof of ownership and proof of originality are the most important factors. A NFT allows every creator to guarantee that they retain control of their content and that, when it comes to monetisation, they will always earn a share. Mylivn considers this point to be extremely important. Content creators should regain control over their content and decide for themselves how they want to monetize it.

The fact that more and more traditional social networks are including the possibility of creating NFTs, or plan to do so, serves as a clear indication that we are not alone in this belief. It will be interesting to see how this will develop in the future.

Be ready for our next article. It will give more details about how we, the mylivn network, are going to implement the ability to upload and trade NFTs.
